How to Transition to a Community Clinic
Your journey from the VA to our clinic involves four simple steps: Eligibility Review, Community Referral, Authorization (SEOC), and Intake Scheduling.
MISSION Act Eligibility & Your Rights
The MISSION Act ensures that Veterans are not forced to wait for essential mental health services. If your local VA facility is over-capacity or too far away, you have the right to request a referral to a local VA CCN mental health clinic. You can check the current VA Facility Locator to see authorized clinics in your region.
🚨 Common Pitfall: The Referral "Type"
When requesting care, ensure the VA issues a referral specifically for a "Mental Health Clinic" or "Multi-Specialty Behavioral Health." Sometimes a referral is limited only to a single counselor, which may prevent you from accessing the full suite of services like medication management. If you need a comprehensive approach, contact us at (404) 381-8849 before your VA consult.
Clinic FAQ
Is your clinic open to all Veterans?
We serve all Veterans who have an active CCN referral. We specialize in PTSD, TBI, MST, and general transition challenges.
Do I have to pay anything at the clinic?
For authorized CCN services, there are no out-of-pocket costs at the point of service. Billing is handled directly through Optum or TriWest.
What makes a "Clinic" different from a private practice?
As a clinic, we offer a coordinated care model where your therapist and psychiatrist can collaborate on your treatment plan under one roof.
