Clinical Criteria for PHP
To qualify for TRICARE PHP coverage, a beneficiary must:
- Have a diagnosable psychiatric or substance use disorder.
- Be unable to maintain themselves in the community with lower outpatient services.
- Require interdisciplinary medical therapeutic services at least 3-6 hours per day.
- Have adequate home support to return to daily.
