TRICARE INTAKE: (404) 381-8849High-Acuity Care Without Connectivity Loss
A TRICARE PHP mental health program is designed for service members and families who require daily medical and clinical supervision but are stable enough to return home at night. This level of care is essential for preventing hospital readmissions and managing acute episodes of PTSD or mood disorders. We are proud to be in-network with Humana Military (TRICARE East), ensuring high-fidelity care for the Georgia military community.
Daily Psychiatric Support
Direct access to psychiatric medical providers for medication stabilization and symptom management five days a week.
Evidence-Based Modalities
Immersion in CPT, DBT, and EMDR protocols designed to accelerate recovery and restore functional readiness.
Performance Architect Insight: The Bio-Mechanical Reset
As a Sports Science Specialist (Unifesp), I view a PHP as an intensive "Bio-Mechanical Reset" for the central nervous system. When a service member or dependent reaches a point where standard therapy isn't enough, it's often due to a "system overload." Our TRICARE PHP uses daily therapeutic volume to retrain the brain's regulation pathways, much like an intensive physical rehab program restores a high-performance athlete. We focus on the physiology of recovery to get you back to the mission.
TRICARE Authorizations & The Brandon Act
In 2026, the TRICARE Mental Health Benefit has streamlined access to PHP services. Active duty members typically require a referral from their PCM or MTF. However, under the Brandon Act, commanders and supervisors are encouraged to facilitate rapid access to these higher levels of care. Our team works directly with TRICARE to manage all prior authorizations, minimizing wait times and administrative hurdles.
TRICARE PHP FAQ
Is PHP different from Intensive Outpatient (IOP)?
Yes. PHP involves more hours per day (typically 6+) and more frequent psychiatric medical check-ins than an IOP, making it appropriate for those in acute distress.
Are family members covered for PHP?
Yes. TRICARE Prime and Select both cover PHP for dependents when medically necessary. We treat spouses and older teens struggling with the unique stressors of military life.
What is the cost share for PHP?
For Active Duty Service Members (ADSM), there is typically $0 out-of-pocket cost. For others, cost-shares depend on your specific TRICARE plan. We provide a full financial breakdown during intake.
