A PHP mental health program for veterans serves as a critical bridge between inpatient units and standard outpatient care. At Resilience Georgia, our PHP operates 5 days a week, providing intensive trauma-informed therapy, psychiatric oversight, and peer support. As an authorized VA Community Care Network (CCN) provider, we offer a community-based alternative to long-term VA hospital stays.

In 2026, the VA MISSION Act facilitates rapid entry into private PHP programs when VA-run intensive services are unavailable or overburdened. We coordinate directly with your VA regional office and Humana Military (TRICARE East) to secure the necessary authorizations for your daily care.

What is the typical duration of the program?
Most veterans participate in our PHP for 2 to 4 weeks before stepping down to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or standard therapy.
Do I stay at the facility overnight?
No. PHP allows you to return to your own home each evening, allowing you to maintain your support system and family connections while receiving hospital-level care during the day.
Is PHP covered by TRICARE?
Yes. TRICARE covers PHP for active-duty members, retirees, and families when it is medically necessary. We handle all benefit verification and authorization paperwork for you.
