Why Choose a VA Approved Provider?

Working with a VA approved mental health provider ensures that your care meets the strict clinical standards required by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Resilience Georgia is a fully credentialed member of the Community Care Network (CCN), meaning our services are authorized, evidence-based, and fully covered by your Veteran benefits.

Verified Credentialing

Our providers are fully vetted by Optum and TriWest to ensure the highest quality of clinical care.

MISSION Act Access

We provide care to Veterans who face long wait times or travel challenges at their local VAMC.

Steps to Access Your Authorized Care

1. Consult your VA PCP → 2. Request Community Care → 3. Select Resilience Georgia → 4. Receive your Authorization (SEOC).

Your Right to Private-Sector Care

Under current VA regulations, you have the right to request a VA approved mental health provider if the VA cannot provide an appointment within 20 days. You can verify our status and find other local resources via the VA Facility Locator or by logging into your My HealtheVet portal.

🚨 Common Pitfall: The "Approval" vs. "Authorization"

Being an "Approved Provider" means we are in the network, but you still need a specific "Authorization" (referral) for your individual care. A common mistake is scheduling an appointment before the VA issues the Standardized Episode of Care (SEOC). Without this document, the VA will not pay for the sessions. Our intake team can help you verify your authorization at (404) 381-8849.

Approved Provider FAQ

How do I know if a provider is VA approved?
Approved providers are listed in the VA’s official community care directory. Resilience Georgia is a registered and active provider in the network.

What services are covered under the approval?
Most outpatient mental health services, including individual therapy, psychiatry, and certain group sessions, are covered once authorized.

Can I switch from my current VA doctor to you?
Yes, if you meet MISSION Act eligibility criteria, you can request to have your mental health care transferred to a community-based approved provider.
