Elite Clinical Care for the Combat Veteran

Effective combat PTSD treatment recognizes that your symptoms were once life-saving survival skills. At Resilience Georgia, we don't treat you like a "patient" to be fixed, but as a tactical athlete whose nervous system is stuck in an operational state. We utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and EMDR to help you reprocess combat experiences safely and effectively. We are an authorized partner of the VA Community Care Network and TRICARE.

Hypervigilance & Arousal

Targeted somatic and cognitive techniques to "down-regulate" the nervous system and manage the constant search for threats.

Moral Injury & Guilt

Specialized processing for the ethical and emotional complexities inherent in high-stakes combat environments.

A Performance Architect's View: The "Live" Memory

As a Sports Science Specialist (Unifesp), I understand that combat trauma isn't just a memory; it’s a physiological reflex. When you experience a flashback, your body is executing a high-performance survival script. Our combat PTSD treatment is designed to move those scripts from the "active" file to the "archive" file, allowing your brain to finally recognize that the threat has passed.

Authorized Care Under the MISSION Act

In 2026, the VA MISSION Act ensures that combat veterans can receive private treatment if the VA cannot meet their specific clinical needs. If you are struggling with reintegration or combat-related symptoms, we coordinate directly with your VA team or Humana Military to provide local, world-class trauma therapy at $0 cost-share for authorized referrals.

Combat Trauma FAQ

Does EMDR work for combat-related trauma?
Yes. EMDR is one of the most effective tools for combat PTSD, as it allows the brain to process intense sensory memories (sounds, smells, sights) without the need for a lengthy verbal narrative.

Will this affect my VA disability rating?
Proactive treatment is a clinical step toward recovery. Our records are private and HIPAA-compliant; our sole focus is your health and functional improvement.

Can I start treatment if I am still Active Duty?
Yes. We work with TRICARE to provide authorized care for active duty members processing combat stress. You will typically need a referral from your PCM or MTF clinic.
